Code Integrity Solutions provides a wide range of services to help software development teams reach their software integrity goals. Code Integrity Solutions is based in Northern California, USA and was founded by former executives at Coverity, a leading provider of static analysis tools.Who we are:
Chris Zak, Managing Director and Co-Founder
Chris was the second employee at Coverity and served as the VP of Worldwide Sales for five years. Chris played a pivotal role in growing Coverity from a startup company to the leader in the static analysis space. Chris has also served in leadership roles at Excite@Home and Zaplet. Chris is a graduate of the University of Vermont.
Andrew Yang, Managing Director and Co-Founder
Andrew was Coverity's VP of Product and Services for three years. Andrew built the professional services, product management, sales engineering and customer support organizations. In a prior life, Andrew has served in product leadership roles at DoubleClick, Actional Corporation and also was a consultant for Booz-Allen and Hamilton. Andrew has an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a EE degree from Brown University.

John Lovitt, Former VP of Worldwide Services at Rational Software and CEO of Pattern Insight
John has over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, and general management in the software development market. Prior to joining Pattern Insight, he was a senior officer in Rational Software from 1990 to 2003, with roles including Senior VP Worldwide Field Operations, VP Americas Field Operation, and VP Worldwide Services. He played a key role in shaping Rational's team-oriented approach to achieving customer results through improved software development capability. John joined Rational in 1986 as their first sales rep and grew the organization to over 1800 sales and technical sales professionals, overseeing several key acquisitions, and leading the organization to annual sales of over $700 million annually. Before joining Rational, John was with Hewlett Packard for 13 years and McDonnell Douglas for five years.
John holds an M.S. in computer science from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and a B.S. in aeronautical engineering from Wichita State University. He is active in Habitat for Humanity, serving on the East Bay Habitat for Humanity board of directors. He is also active on advisory boards at WSU and UMR, and is currently president of the UMR Academy of Computer Science, in addition to serving on several corporate boards.
Bruce Juhlin Ph.D, Former Senior Director of Engineering at Cisco Systems
Bruce has over 20 years of experience delivering leading edge technology innovation in product development, test, and quality/process improvement. Bruce is a 12-year veteran of Cisco and was most recently Senior Director of Engineering in Cisco's Development Organization (CDO). He grew the VOIP product test and software maintenance organizations from 40 to 160 engineers. He led the VOIP/Dial businesses development organization shipping over $2B in voice and dial-access products. Bruce implemented significant test and quality improvements across Cisco's 23,000 development organization including the use of static analysis to improve security in the product development lifecycle.
Bruce has served in various leadership roles at Qwest and OpenDisc Systems. Bruce started his career at AT&T Bell Labs where he reached the highest level for individual contributor becoming a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff. He made significant contributions to the UNIX operating system, Software Reliability Engineering (SRE), computer performance analysis and software development process and metrics.
Bruce has a Ph.D in Information Systems and an MBA in Finance, both from the University of Colorado. Bruce holds two patents in networking technology.
Dawson Engler, Associate Professor in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Stanford University
Dawson Engler received his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for his work on the exokernel operating system, and his undergraduate degree from University of Arizona. His research focuses on developing techniques to find interesting bugs in real code, including static analysis, implementation level model checking, and symbolic execution. The tools he has developed have found thousands of errors in open-source systems and the static work formed the basis of a company, Coverity. In 2006, he won the Weiser award and in 2009, the Hopper award.
