Professional Services Engineer - Tools Infrastructure

(all locations)

The right candidate will have a great set of skills. They will have strong technical skills, excellent customer facing skills and a desire to help leading companies build better software through better technical infrastructure.

Candidates will have some or all of the following skills:
  • The ability to communicate and work well with customers and fellow team members.
  • Strong software development skills in Java. Familiarity with C/C++ and/or C#.
  • Experience with build tools like Electric Cloud, Make, Clearmake, Ant, Maven, Hudson, etc.
  • Experience with software build processes and software development tool chains
  • Strong work ethic and a results-oriented attitude
  • Team player who can work well with others
  • Strong oral and written skills
  • Ability to be creative, think out of the box and help build, structure and implement new service offerings
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of technology experience as a professional services/consulting engineer, developer or tools engineer
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or engineering.
  • Strong scripting ability (for example in Perl, Python, Ruby, shell)
  • Java programming experience and knowledge of the C/C++ or C# programming languages
  • Strong knowledge of Unix, Linux or Windows platforms
  • Basic knowledge of build systems (make, jam), source code control systems (Perforce, ClearCase, CVS), bug tracking systems and other parts of the software development tool chain.
  • Experience with web and related technologies (Javascript, Google Web Toolkit (GWT), CGI scripting, XML, etc.)
  • The ability to travel a minimum of 50% depending upon your location
  • Strong problem solving skills, strong work ethic and ability to think on your feet
  • "Customer comes first" attitude

Professional Services Engineer - Static Analysis

  • Strong software development skills in C/C++, Java and/or C#.
  • Experience with static analysis tools including Coverity, Klocwork, Fortify Software, etc.
  • Experience with build environments and software development tool chains
  • Strong work ethic and a results-oriented attitude
  • Team player who can work well with others
  • Strong oral and written skills
  • Ability to be creative, think out of the box and help build, structure and implement new service offerings
